Bit2Me Launches Bit2Shield to Aid Authorities in Crypto Investigations

Spain's largest crypto exchange Bit2Me has launched a new company called Bit2Shield to help authorities handle cryptocurrency involved in investigations.

Bit2Shield will assist courts, police, and financial institutions by tracing, seizing, storing, and liquidating seized cryptocurrencies. The company will hold the seized assets in secure cold wallets and coordinate sales when ordered by authorities, with conversions handled by Bit2Me's authorized entity Bitcoinforme.

This move formalizes services that Bit2Me already provided to agencies like Interpol and Europol in 2025, including processing €1.5 million in seized crypto. The initiative reflects growing demand for specialized custody and forensic services in crypto crime investigations.
