Bit2Me Launches Crypto-Seizure Service for Police and Courts
Bit2Me has launched Bit2Shield, a service designed to help police, courts, and banks trace cryptocurrency, preserve evidence, secure seized assets, and arrange court-authorized sales. The company claims that it processed approximately €1.5 million in seized cryptocurrency during 2025 while working on matters involving Europol, Interpol, and Spanish police.
Bit2Shield is a private service provider that will work with authorities to identify wallets, credentials, and transaction data. It will also prepare digitally signed forensic reports and arrange multisignature cold storage for seized assets. The company has not disclosed how many key shares it will create or who will hold them.
The competent authority will decide whether and when seized assets are sold, which can affect the recovered amount due to changes in cryptocurrency prices. Bit2Me has not identified the trading venues, pricing benchmark, fees, or slippage controls that would apply to a court-ordered sale.
