Bitbank Launches Ethereum Staking with 1.78% Estimated Yield for Japanese Users

Japanese cryptocurrency exchange bitbank has launched an Ethereum staking service, allowing customers to earn rewards on their holdings without a separate lock-up period.

The service allows users to hold ETH in their bitbank account and agree to the staking terms, with estimated annual yields of 1.78% and rewards distributed every Monday at 11:00 p.m. UTC.

This move reflects a broader trend among Japanese exchanges to offer staking services as competition intensifies for retail crypto customers.
