Bitcoin Adoption Surpasses 365 Million Users Amid Continued Growth Potential
Bitcoin's global adoption continues to grow, with an estimated 365 million people now holding the cryptocurrency. This represents around 4-5% of the world's population, according to market analyst PlanB.
The S-curve model suggests that Bitcoin is still in its early growth phase, with significant potential for further expansion if adoption continues to rise. Currently, Bitcoin's market value stands at approximately $1.28 trillion, while gold's market capitalization is estimated at around $28 trillion.
According to PlanB, the relatively small share of gold's overall market value suggests that Bitcoin has considerable room to grow. He noted that increasing awareness, easier access to digital assets, and broader participation can contribute to faster adoption in the coming year.
Institutional interest continues to support growth, with spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs), growing corporate adoption, and continued interest from retail investors helping bring BTC closer to mainstream finance.
