Bitcoin Analyst Weighs Bullish and Bearish Scenarios Amid Market Uncertainty
Benjamin Cowen, an experienced cryptocurrency analyst, has shared his views on both bullish and bearish scenarios for Bitcoin (BTC). In a recent analysis video, he compared various indicators to gauge whether the current market is pointing towards a cycle bottom or a deeper pullback.
Cowen pointed out that while there are strong signals supporting both bulls and bears, the current picture shows signs of a potential bottom formation. He highlighted technical indicators such as the weekly Relative Strength Index (RSI) falling to its historical lows, the significant cooling on the monthly RSI side, and the recent Golden Cross strengthening the bullish outlook.
However, Cowen also noted that critical on-chain metrics have not yet fallen to extremely low levels seen in past bear market lows. He emphasized that Bitcoin has not yet dropped below the price reached in this cycle, and whale activity remains weaker compared to past lows, suggesting a risk of decline is still present.
The 50-week moving average will play a key role in determining the market's future direction, with weekly closes above this level (currently around $80,000) solidifying the bullish scenario. A rejection at this level could lead to a search for a new low in the last quarter of the year (October or November), potentially testing the $53,000 price level or even the $37,000-$38,000 range.
