Bitcoin and AI Could Give Humans Back Their Time
Strike CEO Jack Mallers believes that Bitcoin and artificial intelligence could give humans back their time to create again. According to him, bad money robs people of their time and energy, forcing them to work longer and harder for basic necessities like a house or vacation.
Mallers made his comments on Bitcoin Magazine's debut TV show after Bitcoin had its best run in years, gaining 25% in August to around $78,000. This followed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent's move to expand long-dated bond buybacks, which pulled yields down and triggered billions in short liquidations.
Mallers also spoke about the state of the US economy, stating that the current level of debt is unsustainable. He emphasized that it doesn't matter whether interest rates are hiked or cut, as both scenarios would be inflationary and untenable.
