Bitcoin and Ethereum ETF Outflows: August's Shift in Market Sentiment
The second full week of August saw Bitcoin ETFs return to red after a promising start to the month. The funds had experienced their best week since April in terms of net inflows, with over $850 million entering the funds.
However, this trend did not continue into the following week, with just one day recording more net inflows than outflows. In fact, the funds bled out nearly $390 million during this period.
The most painful day for Bitcoin ETFs was Monday, with $144.67 million leaving the funds. Other significant withdrawals occurred on Wednesday ($61.16 million), Thursday ($131.13 million), and Friday ($57.63 million).
On a more positive note, BlackRock's IBIT remains the largest Bitcoin ETF, with net assets of nearly $47 billion.
