Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Continue Streak of Positive Inflows
According to recent data from Farside Investors, spot Bitcoin ETFs and Ethereum ETFs have seen significant inflows in the past week. On August 21, a combined $492 million was added to these funds, marking the fifth consecutive positive trading day for both groups.
The largest contributor to this influx was BlackRock's IBIT, which brought in $239.3 million for spot Bitcoin ETFs. In contrast, Ethereum products saw $185 million inflow, with BlackRock's ETHA leading the way at $151 million.
This trend suggests that institutional investors are increasingly turning to these funds as a means of accessing cryptocurrency markets through familiar brokerage channels.
While this is a positive development for the market, it's essential to note that these figures represent daily and weekly net-flow data, not cumulative assets under management. This distinction matters because ETF headlines often blur timeframes.
