Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs Surge to Biggest Weekly Inflows Since Last Year
Bitcoin and Ethereum exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw their biggest week since October 2025, attracting a combined $2.6 billion in investments from August 14 to August 21.
The majority of this influx came from Bitcoin products, which captured $1.92 billion, with Ethereum funds adding $697.18 million. This marks a significant reversal from the previous week's combined outflow of $391.96 million.
Bitcoin funds experienced five consecutive days of net inflows from August 17 to August 21, including a $606 million single-day haul on August 20. Weekly trading volume in BTC funds reached $22.15 billion, more than triple the prior week's total.
The surge interrupts a long retreat for Bitcoin ETFs, which have seen cumulative net inflows fall from $62.77 billion in October 2025 to $53.71 billion. Ethereum funds followed a similar path, with their largest daily intake since October landing on August 20 at $220.77 million.
The assets under management across both products rose by about $23 billion last week, compared to the $2.6 billion in creations. This implies a gain of 22.9% for Bitcoin and 29.2% for Ethereum, largely driven by revaluation rather than new money inflows.
