Bitcoin and Ethereum Surge on Renewed US Crypto Optimism
The past week saw significant gains for both Bitcoin and Ethereum as falling Treasury yields and renewed US crypto optimism contributed to a surge in digital assets. Bitcoin rose by over 20%, pushing its price towards $80,000, while Ethereum gained around 30% in its strongest weekly advance since May 2025.
The rally drew in fresh ETF inflows of $2.6 billion and forced out billions of dollars in bearish positions from the market, pushing both assets to multi-month highs. Strategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, used the strength to raise capital without adding to its BTC holdings.
Instead of buying more Bitcoin, Strategy directed part of its $2.01 billion in net proceeds towards a $6.7 billion cash buffer. The company's dollar liquidity now stands at $6.69 billion, with $5.10 billion in its reserve and $1.59 billion in USD Cash.
BitMine Immersion Technologies, the largest ETH holding company, continued buying Ethereum during the rally, purchasing another 32,447 ETH to bring its total holdings to 5.85 million tokens.
