Bitcoin and Solana Slip While Altcoins Gain Ground
Crypto markets presented a mixed picture in morning trading, with Bitcoin and Solana showing signs of weakness. The world's leading digital asset fell to $78,126.24, declining 0.55% as sellers maintained their grip. Solana echoed that weakness, falling 0.62% to $102.36.
Ethereum inched lower to $2,461.51, down 0.23%, while BNB also slipped, shedding 0.44% to trade at $687.99. In contrast, smaller altcoins like Cardano rose by 1.22% to $0.20, making it the strongest gainer among the eight coins tracked this morning.
Avalanche and Dogecoin also showed modest gains, rising 0.87% to $7.29 and 0.54% to $0.08 respectively. XRP inched higher by 0.34% to $1.38, adding some resilience to the broader market picture.
The divergence between large-cap weakness and select altcoin strength suggests cautious repositioning among traders, with appetite for risk appearing selectively rather than broadly. As a result, markets will be watching for any macro catalysts that could shift sentiment decisively in either direction as the day progresses.
