Bitcoin and XRP Market Cycles Tied to US Midterms
Alphractal CEO Joao Wedson has linked Bitcoin's and XRP's market cycles to recurring U.S. election patterns, specifically the midterms.
In a recent post on July 30, Wedson presented charts showing that Bitcoin entered a bear market roughly one year before each U.S. midterm cycle shown in his chart.
According to Wedson's analysis, Bitcoin averaged a 54% gain in the 12 months after three completed midterm cycles, and XRP's price surged from about $0.50 to $3.0998 between the 2024 election and inauguration.
Wedson's charts suggest that Bitcoin may be approaching another historical bottoming window, but he cautioned that election timing and price recovery alone do not confirm a market bottom.
