Bitcoin and XRP Prices Unchanged Amid Renewed Clarity Act Uncertainty
The price of Bitcoin and XRP remained stable on Monday as investors assessed the renewed uncertainty surrounding US cryptocurrency legislation.
The Federal Reserve's upcoming meeting on September 15-16 will focus on interest rates, inflation expectations, and liquidity conditions. On September 16, officials will release their policy decision along with updated economic projections and a press conference.
Congressional insiders have declared the CLARITY Act dead, according to former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti, who stated that multiple lawmakers and congressional staff described it as dead after his recent Washington visit. The assessment was based on private conversations rather than public statements or documents.
XRP is particularly sensitive to US regulatory developments, which could weigh heavily on the asset if the CLARITY Act were to collapse. Bitcoin's immediate support level is around $79,000, with more robust demand at $77,500. If sellers take control, any prolonged decline below $77,500 may reveal a target of $75,000.
