Bitcoin and XRP Prices: What's Next for Cryptocurrency Market?
The prices of XRP and Bitcoin have been volatile lately, but both coins have made significant gains in recent weeks. XRP has risen by 39.8% over the past week, while Bitcoin has climbed by 23.6%, its strongest week this year.
The surge in prices comes after the US Treasury doubled its long-end bond buybacks, leading to buying that forced traders to close roughly $3.3 billion of bets against the market.
Looking ahead to 2028, predictions for XRP's price vary widely depending on several factors. If the CLARITY Act passes and ETF inflows recover, XRP could reach $3.50 by December 2028, with a market cap of around $220 billion. However, if the bill fails to pass and ETF inflows continue to shrink, XRP could fall to $0.55, 61% below its current price.
The situation is similar for Bitcoin, which could reach $150,000 by December 2028 if institutional money continues to flow into the market through ETFs. However, if the Federal Reserve holds rates longer than expected and ETF outflows continue, Bitcoin's price could fall to $45,000.
