Bitcoin Bear Market Ends, Says CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju

CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju has declared that Bitcoin's bear market is over. The metric he relies on, known as the Bull/Bear Market Cycle Indicator, has turned bullish for the first time since October 2025.

The indicator, which measures profitability using a combination of on-chain metrics, recorded its first positive reading in ten months at 0.042 on August 26. This marks a significant shift from the extreme bear conditions seen as recently as February 5, when Bitcoin's price hit $60,000 and the Bull/Bear indicator showed a reading of -1.244.

Ki notes that this breakout has precedent in early 2023, when the same indicator correctly called the end of the previous bear market.
