Bitcoin Bear Market Nearing End, Analyst Eyes $180K in 2027
Ali Martinez, an on-chain analyst, believes that Bitcoin's current bear market is nearing its end. In his August 11 post on X, he outlined a possible trajectory for BTC to reach $180,000 by the second half of 2027, representing a 181% increase from the current price.
Martinez based this prediction on historical trends and technical indicators. He noted that similar signals appeared before the 2023 bullish reversal and the record high in late 2025. The analyst also pointed to recent technical buy signals, including the TD Sequential tool and the Chande Momentum Oscillator resetting to -71.
While Martinez is optimistic about a potential rally, he cautioned that Bitcoin could still consolidate between $60,000 and $67,000 before taking off. He emphasized that technical analysis indicates a significant upward movement, but warned against predicting an exact timeline or price target.
