Bitcoin BIP-110 Fork Splits Network, Majority Hashpower Stays with Dominant Chain
The BIP-110 fork in Bitcoin has resulted in a decisive outcome, with about 99.85% of the network's hashpower staying with the dominant chain.
The minority branch, which produced only two blocks at heights 961,632 and 961,633, remains frozen after mandatory signaling began on August 8.
OCEAN's BIP-110 mining endpoint showed its latest block remained at 961,633 for 17 hours with displayed hash power around 257 PH/s.
The gap between the two chains has widened to 111 blocks, with the dominant chain reaching block height 961,744.
