Bitcoin Blasts Past $80,000 in Third Consecutive Winning Week
Bitcoin's price surged past $80,000 on September 3, marking its third consecutive winning week. The cryptocurrency's value has been rising steadily since breaking above $70,000 in late August. According to analysts, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are benefiting from a 'debasement trade,' where investors are moving away from the US dollar and into assets like gold and crypto.
The price of Ethereum also reached a multi-month high of $2,545.62 on September 4, while other popular cryptocurrencies such as Solana, XRP, and Dogecoin continued to rally. Dogecoin's price jumped 10% on September 3 to reach $0.09 per token.
Bitcoin's three-week winning streak is a significant reversal from its previous range-bound trading between $60,000 and $65,000 for several months. The cryptocurrency last hit an all-time high of $126,000 in October 2025.
