Bitcoin Block Party Makes Downtown Vancouver Return
Vancouver's Bitcoin Block Party is set to return on August 23, after a one-year hiatus and a move to a new downtown location. The free event will take over the Bentall Centre Courtyard outside FUNK Coffee from noon to 8 p.m., bringing together Bitcoin education, local businesses, live entertainment, food, and family-friendly activities.
The courtyard lineup includes DJ sets from Fustler, No_Requests, and morimori, alongside a live performance by singer Vivian. Visitors will also find the Bitcoin Bazaar, Crack On Food Truck, a FUNK Beer Garden, and a Kids Zone featuring giant Jenga, chess, colouring, cornhole, and more.
The event promises to be its largest yet, with every vendor accepting Bitcoin alongside conventional payment methods. Attendees can spend their sats on food, drinks, apparel, books, gift cards, and other goods using the Bitcoin-enabled 21 Up vending machine and K1 Bitcoin ATM on site.
