Bitcoin Blows Past 'Bart Simpson' Pattern Levels as Market Defies Analysts

Bitcoin's price surged past $81,000 on Thursday, exceeding levels where analysts had flagged a potential bearish pattern known as the 'Bart Simpson' setup. This pattern is characterized by three phases: a sharp initial rise, followed by a flat range, and finally a significant drop. According to Quantum Economics founder Mati Greenspan, a true completion of this pattern required a 20% pullback.

However, the market didn't cooperate with this prediction. Instead, Bitcoin pushed towards $82,000 after Fed Governor Christopher Waller expressed his willingness to support holding interest rates steady at the September 15 meeting if inflation continues to cool. The 10-year Treasury yield also dropped to 4.75% from 4.82%, removing a key headwind that had been pressuring risk assets.

XRP also broke out of its descending triangle, confirming a trend reversal and showing genuine momentum. Both Bitcoin and XRP now have RSI readings above 72, indicating strong buying pressure rather than a low-volume bounce.
