Bitcoin Bounces Back Above $72K as Analyst Sees 1,000% Rally Ahead
Bitcoin has rebounded above $72,000 after a sharp market recovery, fueled by institutional and regulatory support for digital assets. The cryptocurrency's price surge comes as traders reassess its outlook following a powerful rebound from recent lows.
The rebound is attributed to the decline of heavily leveraged bearish traders who were forced to close positions due to liquidations worth $2.97 billion on August 19, with approximately $2.73 billion in shorts being closed, according to CoinGlass data.
Crypto analyst Crypto Patel has identified a historic pattern that may be repeating itself, where Bitcoin's decline is followed by new record highs. Based on this cycle pattern, Patel projects a 1,000% upside for Bitcoin, placing its potential price between $440,000 and $550,000 from the proposed 40,000-50,000 accumulation zone.
The institutional interest in Bitcoin continues to grow, with spot Bitcoin ETFs providing traditional investors with regulated exposure to BTC without requiring direct custody of the asset. Major financial firms have also expanded their digital-asset offerings, further strengthening Bitcoin's long-term case.
