Bitcoin Breakout Looming as US Policy, Fed Rates, and Institutional Demand Converge
The Bitcoin market is on the cusp of a new directional breakout, driven by three key factors: US crypto policy, Federal Reserve interest rates, and institutional demand through spot Bitcoin ETFs.
The Trump administration's continued support for digital assets has led to a strategic Bitcoin reserve being established in the US. This development aims to create a clearer regulatory framework for cryptocurrencies, which could strengthen institutional confidence and encourage greater participation in the crypto market.
Interest rates remain another crucial influence on Bitcoin. The Federal Reserve kept the federal funds rate at 3.5% to 3.75% during its July policy meeting. A potential interest rate cut could lead to lower borrowing costs, improved liquidity, and increased demand for risk assets like Bitcoin. Conversely, if interest rates remain high, investors may favor safer assets over cryptocurrencies.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs have emerged as an important channel for institutional investors seeking exposure to Bitcoin without directly holding it. While ETF flows show signs of recovery, daily inflows and outflows remain volatile, indicating ongoing institutional interest but not yet a sustained trend.
