Bitcoin Breakout Triggers $1.216B Short Liquidation Risk
A potential Bitcoin breakout above $66,626 could trigger significant short liquidations on major cryptocurrency exchanges (CEXs). According to data from Coinglass, analyzed by ChainCatcher, if BTC breaks above this price point, the total liquidation value of long positions on major CEXs will reach a substantial $1.216 billion.
This means that if Bitcoin's price rises above $66,626, investors who have taken out large positions on exchanges may see their assets worth over $1.2 billion liquidated. Conversely, if BTC falls below $60,906, the total liquidation value of short positions on major CEXs will reach around $1.05 billion.
KuCoin notes that investments in digital assets can be risky and advises investors to carefully evaluate the risks based on their own financial circumstances.
