Bitcoin Breaks $80,000 Barrier as ETF Inflows Soar
Bitcoin's price surpassed $80,000 on August 25, marking its highest point since mid-May. This milestone was reached after a record short squeeze and significant inflows of capital through U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs.
The funds attracted approximately $2.26 billion over six trading sessions, with BlackRock's IBIT accounting for $208.93 million and Fidelity's FBTC seeing $104.57 million in net inflow on August 24.
Billionaire investor Stanley Druckenmiller expressed a contrasting view, calling the Treasury's bond buyback program a mistake and warning of risks to confidence in the U.S. government debt market.
