Bitcoin Breaks Above $81,000, Eyes $95,000 Target as Bulls Gain Momentum
Bitcoin's price jumped above $81,000 on Friday, marking a 6% gain in the past 24 hours. The cryptocurrency has been consolidating in the $76,000 to $81,000 range for some time, but a key close above the 50-week moving average could signal further gains.
According to technical analyst Super฿ro, Bitcoin's move back through the top of its consolidation zone and above $81,000 increases the probability of further gains. The bull flag pattern identified by Super฿ro points toward a target of $95,000, with $102,000 as a more ambitious logarithmic target.
However, if the price fails to hold above the 50-week moving average around $80,366, doubts about the strength of the current recovery could grow. Heisenberg, an independent trader and analyst, views the break above the 50-week moving average as a constructive sign, but notes that Bitcoin still faces renewed selling interest at price levels that previously stopped a springtime rebound.
Bitcoin's immediate test is now defined: a convincing rally above $82,000, $83,000 would boost odds of reaching higher targets like $90,000 and $95,000. However, if the price fails to stay above $80,000, the recent upward momentum may fade, leaving the market open to deeper corrections.
