Bitcoin Breaks Above Key Moving Average as Regulatory Environment Shifts
Pantera Capital, a prominent digital asset investment firm, has observed a notable shift in market behavior. According to Cosmo Jiang, a portfolio manager at Pantera Capital, Bitcoin recently broke above its 200-day moving average, a technical indicator closely watched by institutional investors.
The 200-day moving average is currently situated near $69,000 and breaking above it can be seen as a bullish signal suggesting that the asset's price momentum may be shifting from a downtrend to an uptrend. This level acts as a critical gauge for many systematic and macro-focused funds, and reclaiming it has historically attracted buying interest.
Jiang attributed the bullish catalyst to a combination of factors including a friendlier regulatory environment in the United States and the expansion of U.S. Treasury buybacks of government bonds which could increase liquidity in the financial system.
The market's attention is now turning to the next significant price level, with $80,000 identified as the major resistance point that traders are watching.
