Bitcoin Breaks Above Key Resistance as Derivatives Fuel Surge

Bitcoin has broken decisively above its closely watched 50-week moving average, which has become a key resistance level for the cryptocurrency.

The bulls may now be on the verge of a potential test of the $82,000-$83,000 resistance zone, according to some market observers.

In the past year, Bitcoin spent much of its time below this average, but in recent days, it has surged back above, with prices climbing as high as $81,797 on the daily chart before pulling back slightly to around $81,400.

The move represents a gain of more than 5% over 24 hours and is being fueled by derivatives markets, which are adding significant leverage to the market.
