Bitcoin Breaks Key Resistance, But Will It Hold?
Bitcoin's price surged by 25% in recent weeks, breaking through several key resistance levels and sparking hopes that the bear market may be over. According to analyst Doctor Profit, this breakout is a sign that Bitcoin has entered a 'Soft Bull Market', which could eventually turn into a full bull market.
The $71,000 level remains a crucial support point for Bitcoin, while $78,500 stands as the next major resistance. If Bitcoin breaks above $78,500, it could potentially move towards $82,000. However, Doctor Profit believes that a retest of the $71,000 region is unlikely.
Doctor Profit pointed out that the recent rally was largely driven by short squeezes rather than new leveraged longs or massive spot purchases. This means that bears were forced to become buyers against their will, which contributed to the price increase.
The analyst drew parallels with a similar pattern seen in 2023, where Bitcoin surged from $16,000 to $25,000 before correcting and then surging again. While Doctor Profit does not expect an exact repeat of this pattern, he believes that recurring psychology, including fear, disbelief, short squeezes, corrections, panic, capitulation, and eventual expansion, could play a role in the future.
