Bitcoin Breaks Past $79K as Glassnode Flags Cleared Risk
Bitcoin's price surged past $79,000 on Wednesday, reaching its highest level since early February. The asset jumped 4.5% over 24 hours, dragging other major cryptocurrencies like Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP (XRP) higher with it.
The move was accompanied by a drop in Glassnode's Risk Index to zero, signaling a cleared path for further upside. The market intelligence firm's proprietary index measures systemic risk on a scale of 0 to 100, and its lowest possible reading is often seen as a bullish indicator.
According to analysts, the alignment of Glassnode's Moderate Strategy tracker with a 'High Confidence' signal since October 10 suggests a bullish regime. The tracker has also pointed to sustained inflows into Bitcoin ETPs and aggressive demand from spot buyers as support for the asset's price increase.
