Bitcoin Breaks Through Downtrend as Record-Breaking ETF Inflows Fuel Rally
The crypto market has been on a three-day rally, finally breaking out of its prolonged downtrend. Bitcoin (BTC) surged to $76,945 and even reached $79,461 at one point, snapping a year-long downtrend. This price movement comes after large investors such as U.S. funds poured in a record-breaking $606.29 million into Bitcoin ETFs on Thursday.
The Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent announced that the department would be doubling long-term bond buybacks to at least $4 billion per operation, injecting liquidity into the debt market and weakening the dollar. This move forced large investors to redirect their funds into risk assets like Bitcoin, fueling its price rise.
Strategy's balance sheet has also seen a significant improvement as its corporate portfolio returned to profit after a prolonged decline. The company now controls 840,447 BTC worth $64.6 billion and has increased its reserves by 25% since the beginning of 2026.
