Bitcoin Bull Run May Peak Outside US as Sberbank Accepts Cryptos as Collateral
Cryptoquant founder Ki Young Ju predicts that the peak of the current Bitcoin bull cycle will come from institutional capital and ETFs outside the United States. According to him, regulatory and market access challenges in South Korea are a major hurdle for growth. The prediction highlights the shift towards Asia and Russia as potential hotspots for future Bitcoin adoption.
Meanwhile, Russia's largest bank, Sberbank, plans to accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as loan collateral starting September 1, 2026. This move signals growing institutional adoption beyond the US and could pave the way for further growth in these regions.
