Bitcoin Bulls Eye $223,000 as Miner Profitability Surges
Bitcoin's recent surge past $65,000 has sparked optimism among analysts, who are forecasting potential price targets north of $200,000. According to Pseudonymous analyst Cryptonary, the end of Miner Capitulation periods following Bitcoin Halvings has preceded significant price jumps in subsequent months and years.
The chart shared by Cryptonary revealed a striking pattern: the end of miner capitulation in previous halving cycles led to massive price increases. In 2012, the price jumped by 5,110%, in 2016 by 3,346%, and in 2020 by 591%.
Assuming the current Miner Capitulation period ends soon, an exponential decay model suggests a potential price peak of $223,000 for this cycle based on historical post-Halving periods. However, regulatory concerns loom large, and unclear or unfavorable regulations could put a damper on Bitcoin's growth prospects.
Michael van de Poppe believes Bitcoin could hit $100,000 if it holds above $65,000 with consistent institutional inflow. Cryptocon sees similarities to previous cycles and notes that Bitcoin may flip the previous all-time high into support, triggering the most important cycle price action.
