Bitcoin's price has been on a wild ride over the past decade, and its future growth prospects have sparked intense debate. According to Coinbase Global CEO Brian Armstrong, Bitcoin could hit $300,000 by 2030, which would require a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 31.6%. This is not entirely out of the question, as Bitcoin has maintained an upward momentum in recent months and its CAGR from August 2017 to July 2026 was 33.6%.

Armstrong believes that the passage of the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act will be a major catalyst for Bitcoin's growth, lifting the prospects of the entire crypto market. However, this is not the first time Armstrong has made such predictions - last year, he publicly predicted that Bitcoin would hit $1 million by 2030.

Bitcoin's path to reaching $300,000 or more will be challenging, but its past growth trajectory shows that it can recover from significant reversals. To achieve these growth rates, Bitcoin needs to maintain a strong upward momentum and regain the attention of retail and institutional investors.
