Bitcoin Cautious Amid U.S. Regulatory Hopes and Rising Interest Rates
Bitcoin remained steady below $78k on Thursday as markets awaited key U.S. regulatory developments.
The cryptocurrency held its ground at $77,759.4, up just 0.2%, after a positive August saw it rise as high as $82,000 in late-August.
Avoiding sharp losses were helped by buying action from top corporate holder Strategy Inc and hopes for more U.S. regulation, particularly with the Clarity Act poised to reach President Donald Trump's desk this month.
SEC Chair Paul Atkins said he expects the Senate to hold a key procedural vote on the act on September 15, which aims to establish a regulatory framework for crypto in the U.S.
