Bitcoin Consolidates Above $81,000 as Altcoin Season Heats Up
Bitcoin maintained its position above $81,000 on Sunday evening, according to CoinGecko data, as the market continued to consolidate around this key level.
The price of BTC remained relatively stable at approximately $81,250, with a 0.7% increase in USD terms over the past 24 hours.
This stability is not reflected in other assets, however, as several altcoins showed significant gains, including Sui (SUI) which rose by 24%, and TROLL (TROLL), a Solana-based meme token, which added roughly 98%.
The contrast between Bitcoin's flat session and the strong performance of these smaller tokens is consistent with the pattern observed during altcoin season dynamics, where capital rotates into smaller assets seeking higher returns as Bitcoin consolidates.
