Bitcoin Convergence Setup Puts Price Action to a Head

Bitcoin's price action has been pinned between two key levels on its chart, and an analyst believes this setup is unlikely to remain quiet for long.

The current price of around $63,500 sits almost exactly on top of the 200-week moving average near $63,700, a level Bitcoin closed just below last week.

A separate longer-term resistance band near $69,000 has been sliding lower for months, and these two levels are converging.

According to the analyst, this convergence suggests that Bitcoin will soon be forced to pick a side, either breaking above the falling resistance band or slipping below the rising 200-week average.

This decision is expected to arrive within the next couple of months, if not sooner.

Several on-chain indicators, including the widely watched MVRV ratio, tend to bottom out below zero at the end of past cycles, and this measure is currently close but hasn't gotten there yet.

This gap suggests the possibility of one more move lower before those indicators fully reset, a pattern that has repeated across multiple past cycles.
