Bitcoin Core Lightning Docker Bug Exposes Node Operators Despite Updated Version

A critical Docker bug has left Bitcoin Core Lightning node operators exposed despite showing an updated version of v26.06.7.

The maintainers of the software reported that four image tags delivered unpatched binaries, while displaying the correct version at startup.

This means that users who attempted to upgrade through Docker may still be missing essential security fixes.

The affected tags include v26.06.7, latest, v26.06.7-vls, and latest-vls, which served images without the release's fixes between August 28 at 16:04 UTC and September 1.

Maintainers have replaced the faulty images and removed references to incorrect manifests, but operators who retained a faulty image cannot rely on its startup version to confirm the patch was applied.
