Bitcoin Core v32 to Boost Node Performance with Speedy Validation and Smarter Transactions

The upcoming release of Bitcoin Core v32 is set to bring significant improvements to node operators and users alike. While the base protocol remains unchanged, the new version introduces faster block validation through parallel processing, a more resilient transaction relay system, and more accurate fee estimates.

Faster block validation is achieved by enabling nodes to fetch previous transaction outputs in parallel while validating blocks. This approach allows Bitcoin Core to make better use of multi-core CPUs, potentially speeding up block validation by as much as three times in certain environments.

The new global transaction rate-limiting system also helps nodes prioritize their resources more effectively during sudden bursts of activity. By reducing duplicated CPU work across connected peers and handling large transaction backlogs more smoothly, the updated system can help lower-powered devices cope with high network demand.
