Bitcoin Correction Seen as Opportunity for Buying Ahead of $100k Rally
Bitcoin's price action has been consolidating after a rapid rally started on August 19. According to Ali Martinez, a popular on-chain analyst, this phase may be followed by a correction that presents an opportunity for buying ahead of a potential upsurge toward $100,000.
The recent chart patterns are reminiscent of the '2022-2023 bottoming structure' when Bitcoin broke its resistance trendline in early 2023, rose, and then temporarily fell after testing the August 2022 highs. Martinez believes that BTC is likely to fail its first attempt at breaching the $83,307 resistance due to on-chain trader profit margins reaching 25%, which often precedes significant profit-taking.
Two potential zones where Bitcoin could halt its short-term downtrend are in the support range between $76,996 and $78,258, and close to $63,111. Martinez suggests that these regions may present excellent buying opportunities before the expected upsurge back toward $100,000.
