Bitcoin Corrects While Hyperliquid Soars to New Heights
Bitcoin's (BTC) explosive climb has come to an end, at least for now. After reaching $80,000 on Friday, BTC dipped to $75,500 on Sunday morning before recovering around a grand to sit at $76,500.
The largest cryptocurrency had been on a tear since Wednesday afternoon, when the US Treasury Department made an announcement that sent shockwaves through the market. Bitcoin surged from $65,000 to $70,000 in just a few hours and continued to climb, reaching nearly $80,000 for the first time in over three months.
However, after skyrocketing by 25% in less than 48 hours, BTC was due for a pullback. And it got one, with the bears pushing it south to $76,200 before bouncing back off and tapping $79,000 again on Saturday morning.
In contrast to Bitcoin's correction, Hyperliquid (HYPE) continues to defy expectations and has charted a fresh all-time high of over $82. The asset has surged past other cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, XRP, BNB, CC, XLM, SUI, BCH, and ADA, which have all seen significant declines.
