Bitcoin Could Hit $400,000 by 2030 Amid US Regulatory Tailwinds
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong believes that bitcoin could reach as high as $400,000 by 2030 due to expected improvements in the U.S. regulatory environment for cryptocurrencies.
Armstrong made this forecast on Fox Business Network, citing institutionalisation after a White House meeting where U.S. President Donald Trump met cryptocurrency industry executives and traditional finance figures. The biggest topic discussed at the meeting was the Clarity bill, which sets standards for classifying digital assets as securities, commodities or payment stablecoins.
The Clarity bill is seen as a key turning point for incorporation into the institutional system, with markets viewing its passage as crucial for the growth of cryptocurrencies. However, opposition from banks over stablecoin interest income has delayed the vote, initially expected in August but now slated for September.
