Bitcoin Could Reach $400,000 by 2030, Predicts Coinbase CEO
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong predicts Bitcoin could soar as high as $400,000 by 2030. This forecast is based on four major catalysts that may drive its price up. The first catalyst is the passage of the CLARITY Act in the US Senate, which would establish a clear federal framework for regulating digital assets.
Once passed, this legislation will likely attract more institutional investors to Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The law will also explicitly define Bitcoin as a digital commodity and place it under the jurisdiction of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), shielding it from regulatory threats posed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Additionally, if macro headwinds dissipate over the next five years, the crypto market is expected to warm up again. The next Bitcoin halving in 2028 will also further throttle its production, driving its price back above its previous all-time high of $126,000.
