Bitcoin Could Soar to $400,000 by 2030, Says Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong predicts that Bitcoin could soar to $400,000 by 2030. To reach this target, four key catalysts are expected to drive its price. The first is the passage of the CLARITY Act, which would establish a clear federal framework for regulating digital assets and define Bitcoin as a digital commodity under the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). This move would shield it from regulatory threats posed by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The second catalyst is milder macro headwinds. If inflation and other messy economic conditions dissipate over the next five years, the crypto market will warm up again.
Third, the next Bitcoin halving in 2028 will throttle its production, making it more valuable. The fourth and final catalyst is the U.S. debt crisis, which has already reached $40 trillion and boosted annual interest payments above $1 trillion. As the government issues more debt to pay off this interest, the purchasing power of the U.S. dollar will be debased.
