Bitcoin Could Soar to $500,000 by 2029 as Institutional Adoption Grows
VanEck's Head of Digital Assets Research Matthew Sigel predicts Bitcoin could reach $100,000 next year and potentially climb as high as $500,000 by 2029.
The forecast is based on Bitcoin's historical market cycles and the growing demand for digital assets. Sigel notes that institutional adoption is increasing, with traditional financial institutions introducing products that provide exposure to Bitcoin.
This includes spot Bitcoin ETFs, which allow investors to gain exposure to Bitcoin through traditional brokerage accounts, making it easier for them to include in diversified portfolios.
Sigel's long-term view of Bitcoin is reflected in the idea that the cryptocurrency has entered a more mature stage of adoption, and its fixed supply could amplify the impact of sustained demand.
