BitGo co-CEO Mike Belshe warned that Bitcoin's cryptography could be cracked one day due to the risk of quantum computing. However, he emphasized that current quantum computers are far from posing an immediate threat to the cryptocurrency.

Belshe noted that existing quantum systems remain extremely limited compared to their potential, saying 'We only have, like, quantum computers that theoretically work, so single digits to 100, so we’re really far away.'

He acknowledged that the industry is working on technologies to address the long-term risk and pointed out that BitGo has already launched a quantum-resistant wallet.

Belshe also cautioned that significant volatility should be expected in the crypto market, saying 'The industry goes through ups and downs, and we’re changing the way the financial system works.'
