Bitcoin Defies $1.26B Sell-Off with Steady Price Above $76K
Bitcoin's price has held steady at around $76,000 despite facing significant selling pressure over the past two weeks. According to reports, whales and BlackRock's iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF contributed to a net sell-off of approximately $1.26 billion.
However, corporate treasury buying has been a stabilizing force in the market. MicroStrategy is one notable example, with its continued purchases of Bitcoin. Additionally, the use of over-the-counter trades has helped prevent market disruption and maintained liquidity.
The resilience shown by Bitcoin's price suggests that the market is maturing, able to absorb large sales without significant price drops. Nevertheless, sustained ETF redemptions could pose a challenge if corporate buying slows, potentially disrupting this balance.
