Bitcoin Defies Asian Stock Crash, Rises Above $63K Support

Asian stock markets plummeted on June 8, with South Korea's KOSPI index dropping over 8% and triggering a circuit breaker. This decline was concentrated in semiconductor stocks, which had powered a sustained rally in South Korean equities.

The Nikkei 225, Taiwan's TAIEX, and the Shanghai Composite also saw significant declines, with analysts attributing the sell-off to geopolitical conflict risk, elevated oil prices, and interest rate concerns.

However, Bitcoin (BTC) moved in the opposite direction, rising 3% to $63,168 in 24 hours. Ethereum (ETH) gained 6.5%, while Solana (SOL) added 4.7%.

Dominick John of Zeus Research attributed BTC's recovery to a heavily oversold technical setup, short covering, and fresh institutional interest, while equity markets were pricing in fear.
