Bitcoin Defies Odds, Holds Ground Amidst Bad News
Bitcoin's price held steady above $79,000 despite three pieces of potentially negative news on the same day. The cryptocurrency market showed signs of bullishness, with a global cap increase of 0.7% and daily trading volume reaching $89 billion.
The first challenge came from an ETF outflow, where Bitcoin ETFs saw a net outflow of $46.65 million on September 8. However, this is not alarming news, as cumulative inflows still stand at $55.57 billion.
A second setback occurred when Nomic Chain suffered an exploit, allowing an attacker to mint fake nBTC vouchers and freezing 22.65 BTC in the attacker's wallet.
Strategy, one of the largest holders of Bitcoin, made no purchases between August 31 and September 7, choosing not to buy more BTC at the current price.
