U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a significant rebound in institutional demand this week, attracting $865.3 million in net inflows from August 3-7.

This influx of capital marks the second-largest weekly increase in 2026, with approximately 11,792 BTC moving into identified provider wallets during the period.

CryptoQuant data showed a sharp increase in institutional accumulation, despite existing positions remaining under pressure. The aggregate realized price is around $72,000 per coin, with an estimated average cost basis of $82,700 due to earlier holdings being underwater on average.

In related news, Bitcoin wallet creation reached a one-year high, with Santiment reporting 2.27 million new wallets in the past week. The surge in activity is attributed to both renewed market engagement and defensive transfers linked to the recent Coldcard security crisis.
