Bitcoin Developers Uncover 5,000 Security Vulnerabilities with AI-Driven Audit
A recent $100 million Bitcoin exploit has left traders on edge, and things just got worse. The Bitcoin price has rebounded since the attack on Coldcard's hardware wallet was reported but remains near its recent lows.
Bitcoin developers are using AI tools to find security vulnerabilities in over 400 projects. In just 24 hours, they've identified almost 5,000 bugs, including 85 critical and 635 high-severity issues. Most of these have already been verified by project owners.
The audit is being carried out by a volunteer group of developers using Moonshot's Kimi K3 model, an open-weight AI tool based in China. They're spending $10,000 per day on compute, thanks to OpenSats' support.
